A few weeks ago we decided to do more than just browse the humanitarian announcements, and help those who need us the most. The first google search turned out provitaortodoxa.ro, a site that shows a lot about orthodoxism. Entering the site, we discover pictures with children, pictures with a priest, pictures with a village ... it was Valea Plopului, a dreamy place which we immediatly decided to visit because we couldn't believe that there are over 220 children that live there without their families. This is how we left for Ploiesti, Valenii de Munte and then Valea Plopului near Valea Screzii. We got lost, as was expected, but almost like a miracle, a car stoped in front of us, the driver knew were we were heading and showed us how to get there. At approximately lunch time we entered one of the three houses already built, eager to see the little orphans. In the first house there were the infants ... around ten of them. They were sleeping soundly, tucked in by the nurses. Because the kids are grouped by age, in the second house we found little elementary schoolers who had their timetable on the entrance wall. The timetable showed activities like the daily prayers, cleaning and going to school. Everywhere one could see vivid colorful paintings made by the most talented of them: painted walls, icons painted on wood, paper drawings. In the third house there were gimnazium and high school children, some of them no longer having that serene look, because they have realized where they are and are searching for a way to attend a good school that can provide a better education.  Für die neuen Firmware 3.0 für iPhones der Serien 2G und 3G und den iPod touch ist jetzt ein sehr einfach zu handhabendes Jailbreak-Tool im Web verfügbar. Für das neue iPhone 3G S gibt es jedoch noch keine Unlock-Software. Die Hacker-Gemeinde rund um das iPhone Dev-Team hat kurz nach dem Erscheinen der neuen iPhone-Firmware auf ihrer Website die Jailbreak- und Unlock-Software veröffentlicht.
Der Jailbreak beim iPhone ist mit Hilfe der Software "redsn0w" möglich. Interessenten können sich die etwa 11 MByte große Software aus dem Internet laden. Es stehen sowohl Versionen für Mac, als auch für Windows bereit. Sowohl Jailbreak als auch Unlock setzen die neueste iTunes-Version 8.2 voraus. Michael Jackson - Thriller...
 Michael Jackson, ale cărui albume de mare succes, printre care "Off The Wall", "Thriller" sau "Bad", l-au făcut unul dintre cei mai populari artişti din toate timpurile, a decedat, ieri, la vârsta de 50 de ani, scrie CNN. Jackson a suferit un atac cardiac la reşedinţa sa din cartierul Holmby Hills din Los Angeles. Ştirea a traversat extrem de repede internetul. Potrivit LA Times, medicii au pronunţat decesul după ce Jackson a fost transportat la centrul medical Ronald Reagan UCLA în comă, după un atac de cord. Aceeaşi sursă relatează că paramedicii au fost chemaţi la reşedinţa lui Michael Jackson la ora locală 12:26.
În momentul în care au ajuns la faţa locului, cântăreţul nu mai respira, iar medicii au încercat să îl resusciteze timp de aproape o oră. Astăzi se va face autopsia trupului neînsufleţit, însă, până la anunţarea rezultatelor finale, ar putea dura câteva săptămâni.
Un purtător de cuvânt al centrului medical din LA a precizat că nu poate comenta sau confirma informaţia deoarece acest lucru ar încălca dreptul la confidenţialitate al pacientului. La spital, au fost prezenţi şi membrii familiei Jackson, care ar fi spus imediat după atacul de cord că "starea lui Michael este foarte proastă". Potrivit publicaţiilor britanice, ei supravegheau atent starea de sănătate a artistului, sfătuindu-l să aibă mai multă grijă de el.
Cântăreţul avea programat un maraton de 50 de spectacole, care urmau să se desfăşoare la Arena 02 din Londra, începând cu luna viitoare. Show-urile, pentru care au fost epuizate biletele, urmau să pună capăt pauzei de 12 ani în care nu a mai fost în turneu.

 Eines der wohl nennenswertesten Neuerungen des iPhone 3G ist ohne Zweifel der GPS Empfänger, mit dem es (theoretisch) möglich ist, das iPhone als Navigationssystem zu verwenden.
Leider bietet das vorinstallierte Google Maps bisher nicht gerade den Komfort, den eine Navigationssoftware eigentlich bringen sollte. Doch nun scheint auch dieses Problem bald gelöst zu sein: Denn der Hersteller "TomTom" arbeitet derzeit an einer Navigationssoftware für das iPhone 3G.
Google Maps nicht nur ein Kostenfaktor
Ein weiteres, großes Manko von Google Maps auf dem iPhone ist die Tatsache, dass sogar Kosten verursacht werden: Nämlich dann, wenn die Karte aktualisiert wird. Denn bei Maps sind keine Karten auf dem Handy abgespeichert, wonach zusätzlich Traffic beim Laden anfällt, der bezahlt werden müsste. Somit wäre es geradezu unmöglich, das iPhone 3G insbesondere im Ausland als Navigationssystem zu verwenden.
In Sachen Bedienbarkeit und Genauigkeit ist Maps ebenfalls nicht das Gelbe vom Ei. Zwar ist ein Routenplaner integriert, doch für Autofahrer könnte die Verwendung ein richtiges Unfallrisiko sein: Denn es kommen keinerlei Anweisungen von Maps, wann wo abgebogen werden muss oder welche Ausfahrt man nehmen sollte, was bewirkt, dass man ständig auf das Handy starren müsste. Zusätzlich wird der Standort meist ungenau angezeigt und ruckartig aktualisiert. Google Maps ist einfach nicht als Navigationssystem geeignet.
